Endowment Fund
As the environment and the needs of people change, the services offered by the Calgary Drop-In & Rehab Centre also change. The result is that an increasing number of services are offered by the Centre to more and more people.
To help secure our future as a provider of non-judgmental, caring services to people requiring food, shelter or other services, the Calgary Drop-In & Rehab Centre has joined with The Calgary Foundation in establishing an endowment fund. Income from the Fund will be used to help support Calgary Drop-In future development.
- Cash or securities of any kind
- Objects and works of art
- Personal property of value
- Real Estate
- Life Insurance
- Gift Annuities
Tax exempt donations can be made in any appropriate form, including cash, bonds, securities, real estate, personal property or life insurance. They can be made in one’s lifetime or by a bequest in a Will. Gifts can be publicly acknowledged or remain anonymous, as you wish.
Gifts Today
A tax deductible cash contribution starts to make a difference immediately and in perpetuity.
Gifts Tomorrow
A gift of a life-insurance policy (either existing or new) to the Endowment Fund is a means to make a significant contribution from a relatively small investment. The premiums may be treated as a charitable contribution for tax purposes.
A gift through a Bequest or a Will is often the easiest way to leave a lasting impact in the community. Individual situations may allow consideration of a specific dollar amount, or alternatively, a gift based upon the residual value of an estate.
Memorial Tributes
When a friend or a family member passes on, a gift to the Endowment Fund acts as a lasting tribute to their memory. This is a very special and meaningful way to commemorate their influence on your life.
How can you make a gift through the Endowment plan?
Gifts can be made directly to the Calgary Drop-In & Rehab Centre or to The Calgary Foundation naming The Calgary Drop-In & Rehab Centre Endowment Fund as beneficiary.
How much should you give?
Only you can make this decision. Only you know your ability to give in view of the Calgary Drop-In & Rehab Centre Society needs and future.
If you have any questions, who do you call?
Dermot Baldwin, Executive Director of the Calgary Drop-In & Rehab Centre at (403) 263-5707 and/or The Calgary Foundation, in conjunction with your lawyer, accountant or insurance representative, can help guide you in making proper use of the Endowment Fund as a perpetual memorial.
Thank you for your support.
