Get connected to the information highway and improve your skills through free computer courses offered in our free-to-access Computer Lab.

Living Online

Living Online is a portal that offers access to eLearning courses in order to give you more knowledge and preparation for certifications.

A+ is an international, vendor-neutral certification recognized by major hardware and software vendors, distribution and resellers. It validates the knowledge and skills of entry-level computer service technicians.

Computers for Low-Income Calgarians

Link your home to the Information Highway through a refurbished computer.

Every free computer includes:

  • Computer tower
  • Monitor, keyboard, and mouse
  • Open Office
  • Free utilities software

This program is delivered through CLC and our partners. To qualify for a free refurbished computer from the CLIC program, participants must:

  • have a permanent residence
  • be in low-income bracket
  • have a phone number

Computer Request Application forms are available at the Information Desk at main level of the Calgary Drop-In & Rehab Centre. The CLIC Program is delivered through CLC and our partners.

Donate a Computer

Donating their computer to the DI's CLIC Program (Computers for Low-Income Calgarians)To continue to meet demand, the CLIC office gladly accepts donations from businesses, community organizations and private residences. For computer donations please phone (403) 699-8281 or email to clc@thedi.ca

Through a licensing agreement for charitable organizations with Microsoft and our various partnerships, the CLIC program is able to provide Microsoft operating systems on all computers.

Thanks to the many companies, our sponsors, and people like you, since its inception in February 2005, the CLIC program has given away more than 3,000 computers to low-income Calgarians who otherwise would not have been able to afford computers.
